A New Blog Article About Living In The Past

A new article has just been added to my In Control blog on Psychology Today. You can find the article here: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/in-control/201703/no-one-lives-in-the-past. In the article I address those common expressions about “living in the past” or “letting go of the past”. Actually, the past is the past. The reason that past events are constantly remembered in the present is because some aspect of that long ago event still bothers the person now. It is the source of this botheration that needs to be identified and addressed if the person is going to stop recalling the event that happened previously and to experience a more contented present as well as look forward to a brighter future.
